It's been a while...so let's post some stuff I've written recently. This one came from another awesome course I've taken with The Poetry School (can't recommend their courses enough). The aim was to write about an emotional moment but in the most factual and non-descriptive way possible. Here's my effort.... it’s evening the rain is heavy lamplights on a cul-de-sac inside a bedroom he feeds her chocolate from the bedside table already broken up into little squares the crumbs melt into the carpet her eyes wander around the room she communicates through nods and tired smiles hours pass others enter and leave asking if they could help or if she needed anything she gives off a dry cough before clicking her tongue twice he closes her eyes and leaves to tell others

Chocolate is my favorite thing in the entire world. Every time that my life becomes a little bit harder to do, I just go and have a bit of my favorite chocolate. I know that this is not how most people view chocolates, and I am completely fine with that. I am happy that there is a person who decided to write a poem about it, though. I cannot dream of writing it myself, but I am happy that you did it
